We are delighted to announce the publication of our third workshop, led by the renowned economist Esther Duflo.
As a Nobel laureate in Economic Sciences, she is known for her groundbreaking work in development economics and her commitment to addressing global inequalities.
The workshop focused on the theme of inequalities related to investments in infrastructure, highlighting critical insights such as the impact of railroads on a country’s economic performance and the threat of climate change on infrastructure.
“The trade cost measured in African countries is 5 to 12 times higher than in the US. I think it’s related to the poor quality of infrastructures since some goods can’t even reach certain regions due to its inaccessibility.”
