Infravision's 2025 topic: Cities of tomorrow: reimagining urban infrastructure
Given that 80% of the global population will live in urban areas by 2050, cities will be the key triggers of the success or failure of all the ‘transitions’.
Our goal is to outline paths to leverage the high concentration of resources, capital, data, and talent spread over relatively small geographic areas to accelerate the
‘transitions’ for infrastructure
How can cities balance rapid urbanization with sustainable construction while enhancing livability for diverse populations?
What role do citizens play in shaping cities of the future, and how can their voices be integrated into urban planning?
How can legislation and multi-governmental decisions drive equitable, innovative, and sustainable urban transitions?
With infrastructure demands skyrocketing, what creative financial models can support the development of resilient, inclusive cities?
And many more question, perhaps yours ?
What we are planning
We organize a series of workshops and podcasts to discuss the cities of tomorrow.
For 2025 annual research, we aim to organise :
- At least 3 podcasts
- At least 1 breakfast panel
- At least 1 keynote speech
- Multiple meetings in person
These workshops will contribute to the creation of a long-form report, which will be presented during InfraVision’s annual conference during Paris InfraWeek in November 2025.
